UPCOMING EVENTS

 Coming up next is Pet Expo in Victoria on May 4-5.  We would love it if you came down Pearkes Recration Center.  Come down to snuggle a ferret and maybe even say hi to one of their people as well.  We are going to have a lot of ferrets and their owners, so come by and show your support.  We will have lots of crafts made by our volunteers to help fundraise for the rescue.

Custom Gourmet Grand Opening

W retruned to Bosleys in North Nanaimo for another fun filled event.  This time the owners showed up to help share in the fuzzy love.

We came out to help celebrate the grand re-opening of Custom Gourmet Catering in Comox.  Happy ferrets and full bellies were the order of the day.

We love Bosley's almost as much as they love having us come and share the fuzzy love.  Another fun event, we had people come down from Nanaimo just to see the ferrets.

We helped celebrate the new owners of Bosleys in Nanaimo.  We had a great time and took over the front entrance to their store.  I don't think the staff knew what hit them.

Nov 23-24 2023

We once again attended the Cumberland Winter Faire.  No ferrets were present as this event was strictly fundraising, but we still had a lot of fun.

June 31-July3 2023

Once again we attended the Canada Day Ship Point Market in Victoria.  We raised over 3,000.00 for ferret care, so thanx to everyone who donated and helped out.  Special thanx to the ferrets who came out to be photographed and mauled in the hot sunny day (we had A/C for them in the tent).

Cumberland Winter Faire/ Winter Bazaar

Both of these events were great fundraisers for VIFERT.  We had some repeat customers looking for some of our kitchen stuff.  As always a good time was had by all the volunteers.

Bosleys in Ladysmith

 We were on the road to Ladysmith to share out some ferret love.  WE had over 15 ferrets for people to come and snuggle.  We recruited (lured) some new volunteers and some fuzzies found new furever homes as well.  So a good days outing.

Bosleys in Courtenay 6th Anniversary

Congratulations to the OCurtenay Bosley for 6 years in the community.  They have been great supporters of VIFERT and we had a blast.  We also got a cheque from a previous Bosley's event for over 2,100.00.  The ferrets greatly appreciate the help.

Eagle Creek Bosleys in Victoria

We had an event in Victoria in memorium of a ferret, Missy Toad, had passed.  Her owner got in touch with us and asked us to help celebrate Missy Toads life and share our ferrets, ferret love, and education.  A good time was had by all.  Thanx for having us.

Ships Point Night Market in Victoria

Happy Birthday Canada. It was a long tiring weekend for VIFERT but we raised around $1100 and educated a lot of people about ferret care.  Thanx to Mandy & Dave, Dev & James, John, Chantal, Christine, Suzanne, Chelsea, Tamra, Cheryl & Karl for the long days and hard work, and, of course, Linda for the donation of all the beautiful hand made items.

Bosley's Courtenay

What a BLAST.  We had a lot of fun and Bosleys raised a huge amount of money for ferret care; over $1000.  Thanx folks, from the many furry fuzzies of VIFERT.  Maybe next time they will let the ferrets in the bouncey castle.

Bosley's "Cram The Crate" event

Thank you Bosley's in Courtenay for hosting us and the other rescues at the event and 98.9 Jet FM for the great coverage, Cheryl sounded amazing.  We got great community exposure and received a number of adoption applications.  Sophia & Dorothy and the Star Wars Trio were on hand to be adored and snuggled.  They were some tired after meeting all their fans.

Celebrating a break in Covid, members of V.I.FERT got together for a ferret frolic in Victoria.  About 17 people and more than 20 ferrets got together for a wonderful time.  Hopefully, this is a precursor to future events for the public.
